Israeli hopes that the U.S. would do their dirty work in Iran dashed
________________________________

December 9, 2007 | On Tuesday, December 4, Bush stated that he did not know the contents of the National Intelligence Estimate until "the past few days". A December 7 Haaretz article states that "Israel has known about the report for more than a month." The article further states the issue was discussed at the recent Annapolis summit.

The article mockingly refers to Bush and his spiritual advisors as dupes of Israel who would do Israel's "dirty work" for them.

The article states that Israel was surprised that the report was made public. Does this infer that Israel is complicit with those in the American government who seek to make war with Iran for the benefit of Israel?

It also appears that Israel may see an American move away from doing Israel's dirty work as having an effect on the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, saying that Israel would be, "likely to feel less committed to make concessions and move forward in talks with the Palestinians." Concessions in giving back small amounts of Palestinian land and rights taken by force.

Is the tone of such sentiments more evidence that American politicians are stooges of Israel? Take note of those who spoke out immediately against the National Intelligence Estimate. Take note the evidence these detarctors provide - if they provide any evidence at all.
